As you can see in the pictures above, Granny's receives hundreds of heartfelt and hand-written thank you  notes from the seniors who receive your gifts and donations each year.  We are beyond grateful for your  kindness and willingness to help!!

Here are a few quotes from the 2016 thank you notes we received...

You touched my heart when I opened the package you gave me. Each gift you had sent was beautifully  wrapped. It meant so much that you took the time to remember me. I can use all the things you sent. I  appreciate your kindness, and making my Christmas special. I guess I shouldn’t be so surprised. After all,  you are my Angel.

I was so surprised when these presents arrived from Christmas Angel. I get very little visitors at Christmas  so this visit was very special.

I sat and cried after the delivery driver left. So nice to remember me at this time.

For some clients, Granny’s are the only holiday gifts they receive.  (from a Social Worker)

The clients I referred to your program were very grateful.  Most requested gifts were very simple items  such as dish soap and postage stamps, but they were greatly needed and help tremendously when living  on a small, fixed income.  (from a Social Worker)

Christmas Angels Program

Our Christmas Angels Program is our biggest event of the year!

Seniors in need, with the help of their social workers, fill out a wish list.  These lists are sent to Granny's and we match the wishes to Angels, who anonymously purchase and wrap the presents. Gifts range from $20-40 and seniors ask for everything from toilet paper and bathroom towels to coffee makers and MN Vikings t-shirts.

In 2016, Granny's provided Christmas gifts to over 650 seniors in need throughout Anoka County.  We’d like to thank our hundreds of Angels, those who contributed by donating through our local drop box program, and those who made a monetary donation.  Without your generosity, none of this would be possible - and for that, we thank you!!

We'd also like to send a very special thanks to the Minnesota National Guard Anoka Armory.  2017 will mark the Armory's 18th year of providing us a space for our gift collection and pickup.  Their continued support is greatly appreciated!

The 2017 collection will be held December 4th and 5th.

Our 2017 program is kicking off the week of October 16th - contact us if you'd like to adopt a senior and purchase a gift!
